Grape variety: Lagrein, native red grape variety of Trentino-Alto Adige.
Vineyards: vineyards located in the heart of the Valle dei Laghi, within the alluvial plain created by the Sarca river, characterized by stony and calcareous soils. The mild and airy microclimate contributes to the perfect maturation of the grapes that allow to obtain a wine with remarkable varietal characteristics.
Vinification & Aging: after crushing-destemming, maceration takes place in contact with the skins for about 10-12 days at a controlled temperature. This is followed by a few months of refinement in large oak barrels and a brief refinement in the bottle.
Organoleptic Characteristics: deep ruby red color. On the nose, it is complex and full of character with fresh notes of berries and vanilla. On the palate, Lagrein Dunkel offers a good structure and great balance, with a soft and velvety taste.
Tasting & Pairing: to be served in large glasses at a temperature of 16-18 ° C.Excellent to accompany pasta dishes with meat sauce or with red and white meat main courses. The structure of the wine allows a good aging potential in the bottle, after which it becomes perfect to be served with game and mature cheeses.
