Grape variety: Schiava Gentile from Trentino, a typical red grape variety grown in the Valle dei Laghi, with a small percentage of Schiava Grossa (Meranese).
Vineyards: a selection of some of the oldest vineyards of Cantina Toblino in the area of Vezzano and Terlago, loose soils of alluvial origin in a hilly area with an altitude of 450-500 meters above sea level.
Vinification & Aging: a traditional red vinification with crushing-destemming, maceration in contact with the skins in truncated conical oak vats for a few days. This is followed by an aging in large oak barrels for 10 months and a short refinement in the bottle.
Organoleptic Characteristics: bright and intense ruby red color. Shades of red fruits, raspberry, wild strawberry and cherry, with a slight almond note that recalls aging in large barrels. A full, soft and round taste.
Tasting & Pairing: to be served in large glasses at a temperature of 16-18 ° C.Perfect when served with appetizers and typical Trentino specialties such as cold cuts and fresh cheeses. Try it with white meats like poultry, lamb and young veal.
